Founded 1989 · Registered with the Ministry of the Interior · Campus at Zhinan Temple, Taipei

The Taoist Academy is the Association's school for the study and transmission of Taoism. Since 1989 it has trained clergy, scholars and lay practitioners — 34 research cohorts and 36 diploma cohorts to date — on a mountain campus at Zhinan Temple (指南宮), overlooking Taipei.

Classics 經典

Close reading of the Tao Te Ching, the Zhuangzi and the Huangting Jing.

Ritual 科儀 (Keyi)

Zhai-jiao altar liturgies of blessing, and the Lidou lamp rite for peace and longevity.

Well-being 養生

Neidan — "inner alchemy": breathing, self-cultivation and Taoist medicine.

Taoist Music 道樂

Liturgical chant and the instruments of ceremony.

Enrollment

Courses are taught in Mandarin. International students with working Mandarin are welcome — write to us first and we will help you find the right program.
